Join us on the evening of Saturday 7 September 2013 for a Gala Dinner in the company of Ricky Tims as he pieces together his talents as a pianist, composer, arranger, quilter, inspirational storyteller and comedian to present an unforgettable performance.
The musical concert is enlightening for quilters and non-quilters alike so invite your friends and family.

The hotel room is booked and paid , the stand for Amafu is booked . Now for the fun part of devising new colour families and new Clouds and Cracked Ice for the delegates.

From 6 - 8 September 2013, visitors to IQCAfrica can look forward to the following treats:

- 1 500 m² vendors hall with goodies to buy
- Free lectures and demonstrations
- Gala Dinner with Ricky Tims on Saturday 7 Sept.
The venue is right next to OR Tambo International Airport with free shuttle service and on-site hotels offering special rates to IQCAfrica visitors. It is also close to the major highways, for easy access.
Day tickets will be on sale at the door, while seminar, workshop and gala dinner tickets need to be purchased in advance on our BOOKINGS website.

LECTURES AND DEMOS
FREE one-hour lectures and demonstrations will be hosted in the LECTURE area inside the Vendors Hall.
Presenters this year will include:
- Kimmy Brunner - Longarm quilting expert from the USA. (Photo alongside)
- Elsa Brits - President of the South African Quilters' Guild.
- Sharon Calverley - IQCAfrica director and editor of Sitches Magazine.
- Dr Marsha MacDowell - Curator at the Michigan State University Museum and compiler of the international Quilt Index.
- Winnie Egefjord - International Representative of the Danish Patchwork Association.

2012 IQCAfrica "Dreams" Challenge
THE DREAMS CHALLENGE quilts which were seen for the first time at IQCAfrica have just returned from Australia where they were exhibited at the Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne from 18 - 21 April 2013. Due to restrictions on size, weight and use of materials, the exhibit was edited down to 17 quilts.
